James backed a campaign by Harbury Lane residents for a lower speed limit.
James is supporting many local residents who are campaigning for a lower speed limit on Harbury Lane, which runs between the Tachbrook Road and Europa
Way. James agrees that the current 50mph limit is now inappropriate.
This lane was only lightly used many years ago, but since the development of Warwick Gates and of several business parks in the area, it is now subject
to much heavier use. It is also now adjacent to a good deal of residential property.
There are several junctions onto the lane, not just from the new developments of recent years but from longer standing residential areas on the south
side of the lane. James supports the case for a 40mph limit on this road, and is pressing the county council to promote this as part of its review of speed limits on the county’s
roads. |
