Warwick and Leamington MP, James Plaskitt, attended a ceremony to mark the beginning of work on a new shop for the village of Barford last week.

The shop, which will be built into an extension to the village hall, has been financed by community fundraising in Barford and a grant from Warwickshire District Council.

Many people in the village have bought shares in the shop, and so has Mr Plaskitt!

Importantly, the shop will also include the village Post Office. Mr Plaskitt has urged Post Office managers to support Barford Post Office during their current service review.
